HANKATONG CARD: what to know before ordering
HANKATONG CARD is a physical prepaid travel card for transport and everyday spending in Korea. AllTripThings sells the card on its own, with no SIM, eSIM or validity options included.
Know what you are buying
Your order includes one physical HANKATONG CARD. Transport balance, spending balance, mobile data and travel tickets are purchased separately. See the card product page for the current dollar price and full details.
Keep the two balances separate
The transport and spending functions use separate balances. Money added to the spending balance does not automatically pay your subway fare. Check and top up the appropriate balance before using supported transport readers or merchants.
Prepare the HANKATONG app
Download the official app and follow its card setup instructions when the card arrives. The app provides card management and available balance, top-up and support services. Functions and payment methods may vary by device and service conditions. Read the official HANKATONG information for current card-service details.
Check delivery before ordering
The physical card can be delivered to South Korea, mainland China and Hong Kong. Enter the recipient name, phone number and full address at checkout. Review any delivery adjustment in the order total before paying. Dispatch means handover to the carrier, rather than guaranteed arrival on the same day.
Need mobile data too?
Choose a separate eSIM or SIM plan after checking your destination, device compatibility, data allowance, validity and activation conditions. Buying a physical HANKATONG CARD does not include a mobile plan.
